Farmers in the Axarquía are waiting anxiously to find out if the end of hydrological year on Saturday will mark the start of water restrictions. After four years of below average rainfall, Málaga’s largest reservoir at La Viñuela has been formally on alert since August. Last week, it was reported to be at just 27% of its maximum capacity of 165.4 cubic metres.
