A WEBSITE launched by Málaga’s provincial government in October, aimed at attracting tourists to the Valle del Genal and the Sierra de la Nieves (CDSN October 8 – 15), has had over 11,000 visitors since October.

According to a press release from the Diputación de Málaga, El Bosque del Cobre (elbosquedecobre.com) has proved to be a successful venture so far in promoting hotels, restaurants and attractions in 11 towns: Alpandeire, Benalauría, Cartajima, Faraján, Genalgaucil, Igualeja, Jubrique, Júzcar, Parauta and Pujerra in the Valle del Genal and Yunquera in Sierra de las Nieves.

Despite the page being available in Spanish, English, German and French, the Diputación revealed that 90% of visits were to the Spanish-language version, with 10% visiting the translated pages.
