The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) stated in its network recovery plan that ‘traffic is expected to be above 8,000 flights during the second half of June, with a possible increase on some days to up to 8,500 flights’.
According to a press release, they hit ‘rock bottom’ on April 12 with just 2,099 flights across the network.
European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean said they have ‘defined a set of concrete measures for the safe resumption of air travel within the EU’.
