A 58-year-old foreigner was rescued by helicopter from countryside near Nerja on Monday after spending the night outdoors. The man called emergency services at 7.00pm on Sunday, saying he was lost and prompting a search by a mountain rescue team. He was finally located on an inaccessible slope at midnight and was recovered at first light.
