Patrols are being launched on beaches to protect loggerhead turtles that are coming ashore to nest in Alicante province.
Record numbers of these protected animals have laid their eggs on Valencia region beaches at the start of the 2023 nesting season.
However, some of the turtles have been driven away by people taking videos and causing a disturbance.
