Orihuela town hall is asking the provincial government for cash to resurface roads in the municipality.
In a €2 million plan, Orihuela Costa has been identified as a ‘priority’.
The council is set to spend €885,845 on the coast’s streets, with €398,630 coming from Alicante and €487,214 from the local authority’s coffers.
Councillor for infrastructure, Víctor Valverde said there was an ‘urgent need’ to improve the condition of the roads in Orihuela Costa.
