Installation of one of the latest models of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners began at Torrevieja hospital on Tuesday.
The machine was acquired by the regional health department thanks to the national health system high-tech equipment investment plan (INVEAT) and is worth over €790,000.
It is expected to be ready for its first patients in mid-July, according to a regional government spokesman.
