Waiter charged with credit card fraud

An 18-year-old man who worked as a waiter at a beachside restaurant in Vera has been charged with fraud after he allegedly spent more than 1,500 using clients’ credit card details.

According to the Guardia Civil, the arrested man allegedly spent the money on internet gambling sites and buying goods on the internet.

In one instance, he used the details of two credit cards belonging to one of the victims to make 15 purchases for two television sets, an expensive smart phone and a video game console, totalling more than 1,300.
