Locals in an EL Ejido suburb were shocked to find the body of a young man dumped in the street in the early hours of Sunday morning (January 3).

The victim, whose body was found lying in the Avenida de los Cipreses in Las Norias, had several knife wounds, including a fatal stab to the throat. The Guardia Civil later issued a statement saying the body belonged to a 30-year-old Moroccan man.

It is understood that the murder occurred a few hours earlier outside a nearby pub. The victim had been seen earlier arguing with another man inside the establishment before leaving.
