Royal visit mocked by staff in schools hit by under-investment and education cuts

A group of disaffected teachers across the province staged a hard-hitting visual protest against the state of many public schools to coincide with the Queen of Spain’s visit to Almería city.

Under the slogan #letinoestuvoaqui – ‘Letitia was not here’- members of the ‘Marea  Verde’ education pressure group uploaded photos of teachers wearing Queen Letitia masks in dilapidated school buildings on social media channels in an attempt to show the “reality” of education in the province compared to the image presented by the regional government.
