Valencia’s big spend to prevent forest fires

A three-pronged strategy has been announced by the Valencia government to tackle the increasing threat of forest fires.

Regional president Ximo Puig said they aim to improve fire prevention by better protecting the countryside against wildfires.

A €50 million fund will be set up for town halls to maintain the woods and forests which lie in their municipality.
