SPAIN’S tourist sector enjoyed a record July with foreign visitor numbers more than 10 per cent up on the same month last year.

Data from the National Statistics Institute shows that British tourists continue to be most numerous, but that notable increases were recorded in arrivals from Ireland and Russia. The total number of foreigners holidaying in Spain during July is put at 10.5 million, 10.1 per cent up on July 2016.
