Theresa triggers Article 50

Britain and the EU want talks to begin as soon as possible now that Brexit process has launched

LONDON and Brussels have both stated they are ready to start the Brexit talks as soon as possible, even before PM Theresa May triggered the process on Wednesday.

Mrs May signed the letter on Tuesday evening and the UK’s Permanent Representative to the European Union, Tim Burrow, delivered the letter, invoking article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty regarding the withdrawal of a member state, to EU council president Donald Tusk on Wednesday, March 29.
