Spain registers highest ever reduction in unemployment

The number of unemployed people registered at the country’s job centres in 2015 fell by 354,203 to a total of 4,093,508.

This was the highest reduction in unemployment in one year in Spain’s recent history.

At the same time, a total of 533,186 more people started to pay social security contributions, taking the number to 17,308,400.
