THE sale of Spanish property to British nationals has fallen by around 16 per cent since Brexit. Comparing year-on-year figures, the drop is recorded in data for the third quarter of 2016 from the Association of Spanish Land Registrars.
By comparison, figures for the first two quarters of this year recorded increases of up to 40 per cent on 2015. This is the first drop in sales to Britons following steady increases since 2011.
