A RENTED two-bedroom house in La Herradura was home to a senior figure in the Polish mafia for more than a year. From its windows, he was able to see his drug-transporting yacht, Condor of the World, moored in nearby Marina del Este.
A Guardia Civil operation which began in September last year has now broken up an international drug-trafficking gang, with 19 people of Polish nationality arrested and 3,300 kilos of hashish seized. They are thought to have distributed the drug in several European countries including Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, Poland, the UK, France and Italy.
