The first vote for the investiture of a new PM in Parliament at yesterday (Wednesday) failed as the PP-Ciudadanos-CC agreement only had 170 votes in favour facing 180 against. On Monday PM candidate Mariano Rajoy met PSOE leader Pedro Sánchez, who was adamant the socialists would not vote in favour or even abstain in the vote to allow the acting PM to be reelected in Parliament in the second vote scheduled for tomorrow (Friday).
