AN EGYPTIAN man was arrested in Moraira on Wednesday accused of involvement with Islamic State and giving shelter in Spain to terrorists who had decided to leave Syria and Iraq.
The detainee, 46-year-old iman Abu Adam Hesam Shashaa, is well known in the local community and was considered a ‘moderate’ Islamist.
He came to the Costa Blanca from Munich, where he was the iman of a local mosque.
