PROMPTED by the discovery of two illegal old people’s homes in Alicante province, the regional government has introduced measures in order to uncover any more that might exist.
These institutions tend to prey on foreigners who, drawn by the possibility of living with people who speak their native tongue, decide to put their lives in the hands of the business owners.
