LOCAL police in Alhaurín de la Torre nabbed three young men for allegedly making bogus calls to the 112 emergency line, after officers phoned them back and heard their mobile phone ringing.

In the late-February incident, the 112 line received three calls shortly before 2am reporting an illegal race between two vehicles near the town’s Plaza Blas Infante, said town hall officials last week. Officers responding to the scene saw no speeding vehicles, but only a group of young people hanging out in the plaza.
