A SIX-year-old girl died and six other children were injured, one seriously, on Sunday after a bouncy castle broke free from its moorings in Caldes de Malavella, Gerona, and moved 40 metres.

The cause of the tragedy in the garden of a popular family restaurant is presently under investigation. Witnesses reported hearing a loud roar before the attraction started to move, prompting speculation that there had been an explosion but this is unconfirmed.
