SPEED limiting technology will form part of a package of safety measures for all vehicles sold in Europe from 2022 after new regulations were agreed by the EU this week.
Commissioner Elzbieta Bienkowska said on Tuesday that the EU institutions have reached a provisional political accord on the revised General Safety Regulation.
“As of 2022 new safety technologies will become mandatory in European vehicles to protect passengers, pedestrians and cyclists,” she noted.
