BENIDORM will finally set firm rules for electric scooters and Segways circulating around the resort.
At its seventh vote, the new bylaws were finally passed – two years after the first proposal was made.
In a few months, after the bylaw has undergone the compulsory public display and allegations process, Benidorm will have a complete set of regulations for all so-called personal mobility vehicles (VMP – Vehiculos de Movilidad Personal).
Among other regulations are the compulsory wearing of a helmet and having civil liability insurance.
Users must be at least 16 years old and in the case of groups formed for touristic purposes, the number of those riding together cannot exceed 10.
