BENALMÁDENA town hall has announced  increased efforts to tackle the town’s problem with illegal street vendors. In a statement, councillor Javier Marín said the local government has “strengthened resources to combat illegal street selling, as a measure of support to businesses”.

These measures have included increased overtime for local police officers to boost patrols, and the distribution of leaflets, in English and Spanish, warning people about the illegality of purchasing fake goods.
