THE TWO-day walk from Panticosa to San Nicolas de Bujaruelo will take some organising. Those who are going up to either of these wonderful spots for a few days of summer walking on other trails will also need to do some preparation.
One of the most important things to sort out in advance is a place to stay, whether this be under canvas or under a roof.
Panticosa has a number of very good options, as it is also a ski resort in winter. I have always stayed at Hotel Navarro (www.hotelnavarro.com), principally because it’s economical – and it’s is in a fantastic spot in the centre of the village opposite the medieval church, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
