PEÑÍSCOLA beaches will be safer than ever, as more lifeguards and first aid hotspots will be added.
Tourism and Beach Councillor Rafael Suescun said that the town hall has thus made an effort to appease ‘the suggestions made by businessmen last summer, asking for the rescue service to be available in all the areas of the Playa Norte beach’.
One of the elements that helped make the decision was the fact that two ‘blue flags’ have been awarded to Peñíscola’s main beaches.
These flags are an official symbol of quality, and will therefore attract more people.
Moreover, last year was the first when more than just one main surveillance tower was operative along the beach, and as it was successful, it will be reimplemented this year.
