MORE than 100 readers have contacted Costa News to say they have been hit by the Spanish government’s pension cash-grab.
Dramatic cases have come to light of elderly British people who are experiencing hardship caused by double taxation. An 80-year-old woman told Costa News: “I am a new widow also hit by being taxed here and the UK. I really do not have enough to live on now.”
The correspondent continued: “My husband and I always had a yearly appointment with the ‘hacienda’ and have always declared our pensions, which did not reach the ceiling for tax payment.”
Ahhh my heart bleeds for the wealthy southerners who will now not be able to eat out every night. And as a result they may even be forced to stop driving their 3.2 or 4 litre Jags.
