A 72-YEAR-old Moroccan man alleged to be behind what the National Police have called North Africa’s largest cocaine trafficking empire has been arrested in Málaga.

According to a statement from the force, the joint operation between police and the Spanish Tax Agency, which began in October 2016, saw more than a ton of cocaine seized and “dismantled a family organisation dedicated to drug trafficking on the Costa del Sol”.
