Nine people in Málaga are amongst 22 arrested in three provinces as police raided clandestine tobacco production. Imported raw material from Bulgaria was brought to three factories which were completely sealed from the outside world, including a block on mobile phone signals. It is estimated their operations were defrauding the exchequer of €5 million in taxes a week.
