HM Customs officers in Gibraltar last week arrested a Spanish man who was caught allegedly trying to swim from the Rock to Spain with two large bags that were found to contain approximately 150 cartons of cigarettes, said government officials. The incident took place on Tuesday night near Western Beach. The suspect was released on bail pending an appearance before the Magistrates Court.
