Four people are under investigation by Guardia Civil officers in Nerja following the capture of a protected species of shark five months ago. Pictures of the dead animal on the town’s Burriana beach caused outrage and complaints to the authorities. Those responsible are believed to have sold meat from the shark to the public and to local restaurants.
