Ronda town hall has purchased 42 bulletproof vests for the local police department at a cost of €20,000, meeting a long-time demand of the force, said officials last week. Police chief Miguel Ángel Cintado said the move is aimed at reinforcing the safety of the officers, and the use of the vests will be obligatory.
