A series of protests by trade unions to demand full staffing coverage for hospitals and health centres in Málaga province this summer (CDSN last week) has been called off. Union leaders this week decided to accept the Andalucía health service’s (SAS) coverage plan, which will see over 65% coverage of staff holiday absences, with higher levels in certain areas based on need.
