Emergency services were called to a fire in Nerja on Sunday night. Tourists on the Balcón de Europa raised the alarm when they saw flames coming from derelict cottages on the town’s Calahonda beach which lies on the viewpoint’s east side. An investigation into the cause of the blaze was immediately opened.
