A young Bolivian woman found guilty of killing her own baby at birth has been handed a five-year jail sentence. A Málaga court was told that she was 17 when she went into labour at home in November 2016, and later claimed the infant fell during the delivery in her bathroom. Her boyfriend was also arrested after hospital staff reported injuries to the baby’s body.
