Controversial plans to merge Granada’s two main hospitals have been abandoned. The move to leave each with its own management and services was confirmed in Monday’s official bulletin from the Junta de Andalucía. The proposal announced in 2014, which included locating specialised departments in one centre or the other, led to a series of protests in recent months.
