A Spanish judge investigating links to the mafia has ordered the arrests of a number of Russian nationals who are known to be close to Vladamir Putin. They include a general and a former deputy prime minister. National Court judge José de la Mata said on Monday there were “extremely serious” allegations about each of them and their relationships with the mafia.
