A private prosecution brought by victims’ families will seek a five-year prison sentence for an off-duty Guardia Civil officer accused of causing an accident on the motorway between Torremolinos and Benalmádena, while speeding and under the influence of drugs and alcohol, in which three people were killed and nine injured. It is a year longer than the sentence being sought by the public prosecutor.
