Spain’s newest AVE high-speed rail link will begin trials on March 20. The Valencia to Castellón line has cost €173 million and has mixed high-speed and conventional gauge tracks. The 64 kilometre stretch will form part of the future east-coast “Mediterranean Corridor” running from Cádiz and Málaga into southern France.
