The National Police in Ronda were able to stop a 46-year-old local woman from throwing herself into the town’s Tajo gorge on Sunday, August 20. After the alarm was raised by a family member, police patrols were deployed and the woman was found leaning against a wall, ready to jump. After being saved the woman confirmed that she had been attemping to commit suicide, and was taken to the Hospital Comarcal for treatment.
