A man lost three fingers on one of his hands when a camping gas bottle he was handling exploded. The incident happened shortly after 11.30am last Thursday near Camino de Campanales in the Las Lagunas area of Mijas. The man, a scrap metal collector, is believed to have been manipulating the gas bottle when it exploded. He was taken to the Costa del Sol Hospital.
