A man whose dog choked to death on its leash while tied up on his property in Mijas has been fined €540. A Fuengirola court heard how the man had previously been warned by the Guardia Civil regarding the conditions in which the dog was being kept in “an abandoned state”, without adequate food and water, and tethered with a short chain leash.
