The head of IT employed by the Partido Popular admitted in a Madrid court on Monday that he had destroyed computer hard-drives used by disgraced party treasurer Luis Bárcenas. Jose Manuel Moreno said he had been ordered to throw them away, although he claimed data had been deleted anyway before he reformatted them 35 times and then disposed of them.
