A Torremolinos court is investigating the concession of town hall grants totalling over €370,000 to more than 20 communities of property owners, for improvements to residential buildings, in the run-up to the May 2015 municipal elections, when the Partido Popular was in power. The now PSOE-led town hall annulled the grants earlier this year. Internal auditors found they had been awarded “arbitrarily” with no public process.
