The dispute between Málaga town hall and its municipal cleaning workers escalated on Monday when a strike was staged outside their depot. The stoppage at 6am resulted in rubbish collection lorries failing to leave on their rounds. Workers have been angered at 800 sanctions which were imposed on their members at the end of December.
