A 37-year-old speleologist has died while exploring a cave in the Basque Country. He was reported trapped by a landslide on Thursday night near Galdames in Vizcaya province, 15 kilometres west of Bilbao. By agreement with his family, efforts to recover his body were abandoned on Sunday after instability in the cavern threatened the safety of the recovery team.
