Local police in Málaga have already denounced more than 70 dog owners who have not registered their pets’ DNA with a vet. A city by-law which came into force recently, after being extended, outlines the obligation and sets a minimum fine of €217 for non-compliance. Any vet can carry out the procedure for a fee of €35.
