The president of Caja Madrid between 1996 and 2009 was found dead with a shotgun wound to his chest last week. A post-mortem has confirmed that Miguel Blesa took his own life. In February, he was sentenced to six years in jail for widespread misuse of company credit cards at the bank and was awaiting the outcome of an appeal to the Supreme Court.
