Fire returned to Huelva on Monday with over 400 people evacuated in the area of Minas de Riotinto. First alerts were received at 2.20pm and a Level 1 Emergency was declared shortly after 5.30pm. Over 130 forestry workers and fire crews on the ground were supported by 19 aircraft and fought the flames on at least two fronts. The fire was declared under control on Tuesday evening.
