In the first year since its launch in November 2016, the A&E department at the Guadalhorce hospital treated more than 32,600 patients, said the Health Department last week. More than 2,800 were admitted to the observation unit, over 1,000 were sent to other facilities for further diagnosis, and over 150 were transferred for direct hospitalisation at Málaga’s Hospital Clínico or Hospital Marítimo in Torremolinos.
